The Goodnow Farms Esmeraldas bar is truly exceptional. The skill, care, and love that have gone into the production of this bar are evident from the very first taste through the lingering satisfying aftertaste. And the additional cocoa butter used in crafting this bar makes it one of the smoothest dark chocolate bars I've ever had the joy to taste. Bravo to Goodnow Farms!

This is an excellent bar. Among the standout notes, the Cabernet-like flavor truly shines. I also appreciate its more robust "oak-aged" background, which complements the refreshing floral profile. The Ecuador bar has great, rich flavor and I also like getting it in the South America collection 3 pack.

By sending text message videos to my husband (who l9ves dark chocolate) I was able to introduce him to Goodnow Farm, where they source their chocolate and how it's made. After that, I presented him with his bars from Goodnow. I gave him the experience for Valentine's day He loved the chocolate and the story behind it.

Rarely does one find a chocolate (or any other product) that is “spot on perfect”: not too sweet, not too tart, not to soft, not too hard, not too much of any flavor dominating all the others, it is a pleasure to savor in small bites, slowly letting it melt on the tongue. Without exception the best chocolate I’ve ever had!

Aroma: mellow notes of sweet spices, oak barrel aged, green bell pepper.
Palate: delicate and pleasant, with predominant notes of Creme de Cassis sweetness, vanilla, clove, oak barrel aged chocolate (even if it is not aged) followed by an almond-like soft nuttiness (peeled), hint of black cherry undertone and cabernet grape, green and tobacco subtleness. Low acidity, mild Bitterness, long-lasting aftertaste. I find this tasting experience very aromatic and extremely intricate.
