Cacao prices went crazy last year, and while they've improved somewhat they're still extremely elevated. Last year the primary reason for the increased pricing was lack of supply. Climate change is hurting the cacao harvest, so less cocoa is available. This year new taxes (tariffs) have added to the strain. The Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health did a study involving 192,000 adults over several years, and found that people who eat at least an ounce of dark chocolate every day have a 21% lower risk of developing Type 2 diabetes.
