I don’t really want all of you to know that THERE IS NONE LIKE THIS CHOCOLATE! IT IS PERFECTION!!! No other chocolate, even other lovely Goodnow farms flavors compare to this. The balance of flavors is extraordinary to me. Perfect. I buy the best chocolates from all over the world and every time I compare them to this bar, I kick myself for even bothering with other chocolates. I think I bought 15 bars last month…. and would’ve bought more if I could! Hehe.

I would always order the pure Special Reserve, Brown Butter instead which might be my favorite chocolate EVER.

Maple with brown butter. Even if its not with chocolate, I would say it will be a perfect combination for cake or dishes. At the time when celebrating with family, this is what you need to let the happiness goes further.

The only struggle for me is the price. It’s already four times more expensive than the ethical chocolate I buy at the co-op, and then I checked the weight - it’s half the weight of my usual chocolate bars, making it more like a $40 chocolate bar, or 8x the price. Whew. A once a year treat, for sure.

I originally discovered goodnow chocolate from CBS. After seeing how the chocolate was made I immediately placed an order. This is the best chocolate I have ever tasted. The maple flavors dance on your tounge. It is smooth, rich and creamy! I can't wait to try the other bars!

There is no comparison to this chocolate. It is perfection. I could talk forever about it but it is as simple as that for me. The combination of the flavors is the most brilliant, luscious and perfect. I don’t even bother ordering other flavors, I spend all I can with a box of these every time!!!

The spices, maple and brown butter really compliment the chocolate. Exceptionally smooth and silky like chocolate should be, the flavor sort of matures as the chocolate melts in your mouth. This is definitely a bar to eat slowly.

The thing that stands out most about this bar, in my opinion, is the texture. It is very buttery and smooth. The flavor is also quite good—I tend to prefer bars that aren’t flavored, but this is well balanced and I enjoy it anyways.

Goodnow chocolate, and this winter maple option is no exception, is absolutely the highest quality chocolate you can buy. Unlike some also excellent types of chocolate bars or truffles which aim to dazzle with fancy fillings or toppings, the flavors in Goodnow bars are generally subtle but complement the incredible quality chocolate in a way that's hard to describe but incredibly easy to enjoy.
