Wonderful flavor, 5 star!
Bright and light but still has some body to it.
My favorite, along with Brown Butter. These guys apparently know things about chocolate others don’t - their bars are incredibly delicious, melt in your mouth, complex & unique. Have a piece every morning now … addicted.
The addition of maple sugar to the excellent chocolate produces a delicious, well balanced bar that delivers a warm embrace when a 'pick me up' is needed. A hit!
I was introduced to Goodnow Farms chocolate by my golfing partner as we were playing golf. He gave me a piece of Brown Butter and it was delicious. Couldn't wait for him to offer me another piece. So when he got out of the golf cart to hit his ball, the remaining chocolate was calling to me to take another piece which I did to shut the chocolate bar up. Needless to say the bar was eaten by us and other members of the other golf cart. I immediately ask for the wrapper so that I find the Goodnow web site and order some more of this outstanding chocolate. I ordered 8 bars of various flavours and they arrived in short order in box with the chocolate protected in a thermal rape.
Their use of high quality maple sugar complements and enhances the natural occurring dark chocolate flavors in this bar, without overpowering it. The bar itself is smooth, dark and delicious.
Try it, you'll love it!
I am addicted
I even have them for breakfast
I am a chocolate addict, i have tried a TON of chocolate and i travel a lot so i have tried chocolate all around the world as well. When i recently first tried this brand i was pretty devastated, because 1. How will i ever enjoy other chocolate again? and 2. How will i be able to afford the amount of chocolate i want from this place? hehehe It is amazing and i think part of it is because they use their own cocoa butter that isn't deoderized. I think it leaves a taste that you can't taste in most bars. ANYWAY, about the maple bar. It is very well balanced. You taste the chocolate taste 100% at first which is so great, and then you taste the maple come on stronger at the end. So it is like 2 in one. I suggest you eat these bars under 75 degrees when they have a nice snap to them. I got my bars when it was super hot and my apt was really hot and the bars were soft, so it tastes diff. Much better when at a cooler temp. Enjoy.
The chocolate bar looks perfect, and it is well tempered. The texture is smooth and creamy. On the palate, the maple sugar flavor is straightforward delivering its characteristic sweet caramelized nuttiness. Following, you can detect tropical fruitiness such as creamy mango, sour yet floral white peach, floral, green banana subtle "unripe" sweetness. The distinctive quality of this tasting experience is the MYRCENE presence on the nose and on the palate. Myrcene is a terpene that gives to cannabis a mild sweet flavor profile that you can find in mangoes, too. In this case, the charming herbaceous aroma is immediate with musky softness followed by a slight earthy bitterness and a light touch of vanilla. Fantastic complexity!
The Asochivite chocolate is just great all by itself, so I was hesitant to try it with an additive. But the maple is just a subtle addition that integrates perfectly with the main flavor. What a treat!
Sadly, I did not try their Asochivite Guatemala 77%. Therefore, I have no basis for comparison but this inclusion is good.

Fantastic!
Definitely one of the best chocolates bars I’ve had in a long time, and I work at a chocolate company in New England that shall remain un-named!
I love, love this bar as it has a Taste that invites you in to a point that you want the flavor to last forever!! I also love that on our Tour that I got to have one of the taste samples,& I just wish that WE your followers could be able to purchase them as well as I thoroughly enjoyed that little morsel!!!!!
I think maple sugar is probably the best sweetener for good chocolate. I highly recommend this bar.
Asochivite with Maple
Irresistibly smooth and perfectly sweet (the maple isn't overpowering but you can definitely taste it). Very delicate.
Better than I expected. Very smooth, and there are not sugar crystals in the chocolate if you're wondering.
I love all the Goodnow chocolates and this is no exception. It hits all the right flavor notes and the quality is clear in the taste.
A big hit w/ me! Much enjoyed. Furthermore, Goodnow’s customer service ethos is impressive.
I found the Brown Butter bar so unique, I ordered 5 more to see if that was just a fluke. Every bar has been creamy and delicious and I loved the Maple Sugar one. The Brown Butter may still be my favorite, but this is a close second.
This product is special from beginning to end. We use it for gifts when we want to impress our friends that appreciate the best. Warning; it his addictive. It is worth every penny.
Another delightful and delicious Goodnow Farms chocolate!
You might wonder if this was extra sweet because of the title, but it is really more of a subtle complex flavor. The combination of Guatemalan and maple flavors is delicious and unique.
The best sugar free chocolate!
I love Goodnow Chocolates and would always pick them as my number one choice!
I highly recommend this one... wonderful flavors.
I discovered Goodnow Farms chocolate on a trip to the Catskills last year and was given several of my favorite - the 70% Maple Sugar Asochivite - by my husband for our anniversary last week. Since he'd never tried it before, I set up a blind test test for both of us, using the 70% Maple Sugar Asochivite along with 2 of my other favorite craft-made dark bars. Both of us picked the Goodnow bar as the best - it wasn't even close. I usually prefer 80% or more cacao, but the complexity of this 70% bar surpasses many in that darker category, making it my #1 pick of ALL dark chocolate.
