Maker’s Choice Collection

This collection includes all of our Maker’s Choice bars, which highlight unique and incredible flavor combinations.  All of these award-winning bars feature true flavors directly from the source – we never use any artificial ingredients of any kind.  We source all our ingredients from small, sustainable, like-minded makers and producers.  For more information about how we source the ingredients for each bar please visit the individual bar pages listed below.

The bars in this collection are:

El Carmen Coffee Crunch:  We grind light roast, single origin estate coffee beans from local, family owned El Recreo Coffee, and add the coffee to our El Carmen chocolate during the tempering process for a satisfying coffee crunch in every bite.

Asochivite with Maple Sugar:   We start with our bright and fruity Asochivite cacao and add locally sourced maple sugar from Severance Maple.

Almendra Blanca with Almonds:   We add finely ground, roasted organic almonds sourced from Burroughs Family Farms to our citrusy and nutty Almendra Blanca cacao from Mexico.

Cafe con Leche:  This sweet, creamy bar is reminiscent of the experience of drinking this steaming hot drink on warm Latin American mornings.

Pure Passion Fruit:  This passion fruit dark chocolate is a powerful expression of luscious, sweet and tart tropical fruits.

Black Urfa Chili: Our Black Urfa Chili bar is another flavorful collaboration with our friends at Burlap & Barrel.  In addition to a mellow heat the Urfa bar boasts complex flavors due to the fermentation process which the chilis undergo after harvesting.

Caramelized Onion:  The intense, melt-in-your mouth onion flavor is umami at it’s best.

As with all our chocolate these bars are crafted using only fine flavor single origin cacao beans we sourced personally on our travels throughout Latin America, organic sugar, and our own freshly pressed single origin cocoa butter.
