Available exclusively on our website! Limited Release bars are our way of sharing the incredible fine flavor cacao we receive from farmers all over the world. Although we aren’t able to visit these farms personally we’re so impressed with the quality and incredible flavors we just had to turn the beans into chocolate. As with all our bars these are made with cocoa butter we freshly press from the same beans we use to make the bars. We make only one batch of each of origin, so they’re only available for a limited time.
About Kokoa Kamili
Kokoa Kamili is based in the village of Mbingu, which is located in the Kilombero valley in Tanzania. They purchase wet cacao from thousands of farmers at prices which are 24% higher than prevailing market rates. The cacao is fermented and dried at Kokoa Kamili’s facility, which allows them to carefully control the critical post-harvest process. They also employ dozens of people in the region, paying well above the local rate. Kokoa Kamili was founded by Simran Bindra and Brian LoBue. Simran is from Mbingu, and he and Monica are both part of Fine Cacao and Chocolate Institute (FCIA) working group focused on standardizing the definitions of direct and transparent trade across the chocolate industry.
When we first tried a sample of this cacao were were excited to do our test roasts. This is a very acidic bean, and we left much of the acidity in when we roasted and conched. The result is a very bright, fruit forward chocolate. If our Asochivite is one of your favorites you’ll love this chocolate, too!
Flavor notes: Very bright and citrusy with notes of sweet cherry, tangerine, apricot & nectarine.

Excellently smooth (texture is everything) with the bitterness of dark chocolate softened by a berry-sweet that adds to the chocolate flavor, not just riding on top of it.
